It was about the resurgence of club fashion and people dressing up and going out.
I wasn't at all impressed with how they styled me even though I showed up camera ready. I was giving all black, power house, executive realness with an edge but the editor put me in an over sized blazer (at least it was McQueen) and a blue-ish/green-ish and white crinoline, totally disconnected from the entire look. But I understand they needed style credits, etc. I should have said something and done it myself, I mean, it looked awful. But I remember being shooed out of weardrobe by stressed stylists. Luckily I was shot with very handsome and talented Casey Spooner of Fischerspooner which was rad.
So the feature was online today and at the end of the night I picked up the New York Times and peeled out the Style Section on my way home from a dinner date. Obviously my photo wasn't top drawer because it didn't even make it into the printed article, which is somewhat of a relief. Maybe I'm just being a perfectionist.
